The joys of academic life

So, I learned from experience. Rather than make a big deal about the two proposals that need to be written by Wednesday as well as the other work I need to do on manuscript writing and preparing for class, I should have just kept my mouth closed! Happiness is getting a manuscript accepted with minor revisions. However, minor revisions ALWAYS means more than minor - and four weeks' time is not a lot! Anyhow, it is great news, so I'm very happy since I had decided on Friday that the manuscript was not going to be accepted. And I wonder, where is the cat? I haven't had that for a long time!
