In my wildest dreams, I knew that trying to buy a house would be extraordinarily nervewracking. But, my wildest dreams do not even live up to the reality of the process. We've found a house (hopefully). However, we have found ONE house only, and that house meets all of our various criteria, but after seeing 20 or so houses, it is the only one that does so. We may be looking at more houses this week, should we not make the progress on this house that we would like to see.
Nonetheless, we shall attempt to persevere.

Yes, trying to buy a house can be EXTREMELY nerve-wracking. Just try to hang on in there! Once it's all said and done, you will be so glad you persevered...
Also, try not to stress out too much that you found only ONE house you really liked. You don't want to do major renovations, but having to re-do a kitchen need not rule out a potential buy -- if the price is right.
So take a deep breath...and consider ALL your options with an open mind. It'll all work out in the end.
